Founded in 1913, Fox River is an independent, fully accredited, coeducational day and boarding school serving students from preschool through eighth grade. Located on 53 acres of rolling hills and field oaks, our country campus is a haven of learning and growing, just 35 miles northwest of Chicago's Loop. Our mission is to educate the whole child through a values-based program, emphasizing academics, enrichment, ethics and community. The academic program at Fox River promotes personal achievement and is as rich and varied as it is challenging, thus preparing students for a college preparatory curriculum in secondary school. In addition to the traditional subject areas, the school offers enrichment activities that include environmental education, art, music, Spanish, athletics, swimming, and computer training. The framework for our values-based program is a set of character building qualities that are highlighted throughout the school community. Since our earliest days, the schools philosophy has fostered personal growth, respect, and a love of learning.
