Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart

Woodlands Academy is a member of the Sacred Heart Network of Schools, which is rooted in the vision of the Society of the Sacred Heart, foundress Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat. Woodlands' Sacred Heart mission promotes serious study, social responsibility, and strong faith.

Woodlands’ average class size is 15. The curriculum includes Advance Placement, Honors, and College-Prep level courses, as well as a strong Fine Arts Program. Woodlands also offers a Learning Program and an English as a Second Language Program. It has 100 percent college placement.

Woodlands Academy enrolls students throughout the Chicago area, the United States, and the world.

The campus is situated on rolling, heavily wooded grounds. Connected brick wings form a three-level complex. Garden courtyards are surrounded by learning centers that house classrooms, laboratories, resource centers, art and ceramic studios, a photography dark room, extensive computer lab, gymnasium, and chapel. Dormitories are located on the second and third floors, consisting of four halls with private and double rooms.

Woodlands is located in the beautiful suburb of Lake Forest and has easy access to the cultural opportunities of the city of Chicago.
