Northridge
Preparatory School, an independent school
for boys grades 6-12, provides an excellent college preparatory
education that allows each student to reach his academic, spiritual,
moral and social potential. Guided by the teachings of the Catholic
Church and the spirit of Opus Dei, Northridge aims to develop spiritually
mature men who are selfless family members, productive professionals,
responsible citizens and contributors to the common good.
The school’s primary purpose is to help cooperating parents
educate their sons. Graduates normally average 24 or above on the
ACT and many of the senior class are accepted to Top 50 Universities.
The school’s curriculum is facilitated by an outstanding faculty,
over half of whom have a Masters Degree or higher.
In the interest of forming well-rounded young men, Northridge has
an outstanding athletic and a full extracurricular program. Students
in the athletic program compete in soccer, cross country, golf,
basketball, track, tennis, and baseball. Extracurricular activities
include band, creative writing, chess, drama, debate, newspaper,
ski club, yearbook, student government, and a service project that
includes visiting a rural
village in Mexico.

availability.
Need-based financial aid available:
Approximately 1/3 of all Northridge families receive
some financial assistance.
Transportation:
There are car pools from all over Chicagoland. Convenient
public transportation includes CTA, PACE, and local bus service.
We offer train-shuttle service.
Before- and after-school programs:
Building hours are from 7:30 a.m.
to 5:30 p.m. with various activities before and after school.
Summer programs:
Limited summer school offerings include a specialized
tutoring program that is available on an individual contract basis
with faculty. We offer a weeklong overnight leadership camp for
grades 5-8. Summer trips to Mexico, a Civil-War trip to Gettysburg,
and various athletic camps are also available.
