Founded in 1967, Countryside
offers programs for 150 children from two months to 12 years old
including an all day, year round program. The not-for-profit, independent
school provides an environment that encourages children to develop
Respect, Responsibility, and Resourcefulness.
In a Montessori school, students chart their own course. They learn
by observing peers and older children, and are guided by sensitive
teachers who encourage their initiative, support their efforts,
and teach respect for others in the classroom.
A Toddler class (16 months - 3 years), four Primary classes (3 - 6
years), and an Elementary class (6 - 12 years) meet daily in a world-class
facility. Physical education, Spanish, art, music, opportunities
for service and leadership, and character education are integral
parts of the curriculum. Every class has direct access to a beautiful,
grassy playground with equipment and adequate space for running.
Elementary school students perform in a student opera and musical
each year in the schools theater.
We have a stable faculty and all of the Montessori teachers are
accredited by Association Montessori Internationale. The school
is one of four Montessori schools in the state to be fully accredited
by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States.
